Everyone's been on us about our defense. That's been our question mark. And today we stepped up.

The students usually have bonded well by the end of the first climbing trip to the mountains, and it is a great experience for students who take the course.

I won't say that I got lucky, but I didn't expect to do as good as I did. My defense really picked me up, and they deserve a lot of credit.

Our climbing class is based on the beginning climber. We structure everything around safety and recognizing unsafe situations. Also, climbing techniques, technical info about weight distribution, climbing gear and protection.

If we play like we played today for the rest of the season, we're going to go far.
